Just finished Lisa Murtha’s HCCA Research year in review presentation. Outstanding presentation/presenter. Great summary of the last year development. Will be very helpful to complete my own update at work. I am looking forward to the NPRM review/update this afternoon. Game changer. I believe that some of these changes are warranted. Times are changing. In particular regarding informed consent. Even though it is a process and it should be dynamic, the document is integral to the patients/subjects. It should be tailored to them, to make as user-friendly as possible. I also think it will make the process more consistent. Additionally, in our times of electronic information, we must raise to the challenges. There are many positives to electronic storing and sharing of information but also there are many challenges associated with it such as breaching. SCCE had a presentation regarding but I could not attend. I will check the slide deck, though. I have enjoyed the conference so far. Pre-conference yesterday was great. Outstanding speakers with a lot of insights. Networking last evening was very useful. Ran into some great colleagues. The venue is great, very nice area. Nice to be in Baltimore.
