The conference is a great opportunity for a new Compliance Officer to learn more about Compliance. Managed Care is fairly new to my state. Therefore it’s not alot of information to gleem from. Contract compliance is very important in ensuring that the Manage Care Organization(MCO) is meeting the state’s contractual requirements. This conference has given me alot of insight into background information of how MCOs develope their plans. I learned how important it is to do risk assessments and track the issue from identification to resolution. As I’ve learned that my state’s requirements are aligned with requirements that the MCOs should already have in place.
This conference helped me to understand Compliance from a health plan prespective. I plan to take this information and build a Compliance Plan for my state agency.
