Attending the HCCA Healthcare Enforcement Compliance Institute in DC. So far, most speakers have been engaging and have provided insight into actions taken by various agencies even when individuals or organizations trying to do the right thing do the wrong thing.
Good to know accountability is being reviewed and there are multiple processes that support and determine actions that need to be taken for an effective compliance program. Standardization of a culture of compliance across an organization, socializing the information, and everyone doing what your compliance program says you are doing are key. As Yoda says, “Do or not do. There is no try!”
