The SCCE job board is, obviously, a good place to visit when looking for a new career opportunity.
But it’s also a good place to see how the compliance profession is growing, and how global it has become. As I write this blog, there are plenty of opportunities listed around the US, where we have come to expect compliance jobs to be. But there are also positions available in Doha, Hong Kong, Singapore, Munich, Moscow, Dubai, Beijing. London, and Brussels.
And, as passionate as I am for the SCCE, I realize that far from every job opportunity gets listed on our site. There are likely hundreds more opportunities from Toronto to Timbuktu.
Take a look, too, at the range of employers. There are big companies you would expect to have compliance officers: McDonalds, FedEx, Visa and Georgia Pacific. But you’ll also find the New York Racing Association and several smaller organizations whose brand names are less well known.
A number of internships are listed, as well. That’s a great sign for the future of compliance.
If you have compliance positions available, I have to encourage you to use the site to advertise them, and I should point out that internship ads are free.
And if you don’t have any openings, if you’re a compliance officer having a bad day, take a few moments to go through the job listings. No, not to simply find another job. Visit to remind yourself that no matter how difficult the job is, no matter how much resistance you may face, business is starting to realize that compliance plays a role in every corner of the globe and in every industry.
