My name is Joyce McShan and I am the Compliance Director. I have over 15 years in health care and 7 years in health care compliance. I started attending the Managed Care Conferences in 2009 and I acquired my CHC in 2012 through HCCA. The session that inspired me the most at the 2016 Managed Care Conference was The Seven Habits of an Effective Compliance and Ethics Professional delivered by Dan Roach.
Dan Roach’s inspirational talk was filled with so much knowledge and guidance. It encouraged me to change my approach in dealing with repeat compliance deficiencies. I will remember that education does not change behavior but regular reminders of compliance requirements are the enforcement needed to change behavior.
